You’ve finally received your precious keepsake. It is now up to you to keep it taken care of. Your keepsake will hold something valuable to you. Whether that’s Breastmilk, Cremation ashes of a loved one or any other kind of inclusion. It’s important to take care of your keepsake just as much as the valuable inclusion preserved in it.

We understand that you may not be able to always remove your keepsake during the day to keep it MOST protected. Continue reading to find out recommended ways to keep your keepsake protected. We want you to wear your keepsake. We want you to show it off and most importantly we want you to love your keepsake.

What are some things you should avoid?

Water, chemicals, rough surfaces.

Avoid washing your hands with your keepsake on, showering, swimming, exercise, housework and even gardening with your keepsake on are all something you should avoid.

The chemicals, rough surfaces and dirt from these activities, could come in contact with your keepsake while wearing it and may damage your keepsakes.

  • Excessive moisture can be harmful and may damage the materials or inclusions.

  • Rough surfaces and continuous rubbing can cause damage to the keepsake. Wearing gloves can help, but be careful that the gloves are smooth inside and don’t pull on your keepsake when wearing or removing them.

  • Perfume, lotions, and cleaning products can be harmful to your keepsake as well. It’s best to remove your keepsake before applying or using these products to preserve its quality and shine.

When wearing your keepsake, treat it as the precious memory it represents don’t put it through something that may cause it harm.

You now know what is recommend to avoid. It may seem like every daily activity is unsafe for your keepsake and although that is true there are steps you can take to protect your keepsake from damage.

  • Routine cleaning, with a soft cloth and mild soap. Gently scrub the keepsake and lightly rinse off with water.
